Biggest Bag Trends of Summer 2018
Year after year, we got accustomed to seeing the
runways full of excessive materials and accessories. Don’t get me wrong, I have
always found them fabulous, and I was eager to see what the summer of 2018 was
preparing for us. My biggest surprise was to discover that this year, designers
had something else in mind. If I am to describe the biggest bag trends of summer 2018 in one word, I will go for
moderation. Of course, nothing was boring, all the elements were simple and
blended well together. I saw a lot of leather, snakeskin and different fabrics
that brought another dimension to the pieces. The colours were fun and soft.
Yes, there were also some pieces with prints and various accessories to make
them stand out. If you want to know who stood out from the crowd the most, keep
on reading.
1. Hobo fashion handbags
Hobo bags have always been the most comfortable and stylish handbags out there in my
opinion. This year, they have been designed in a triangular shape, giving them
a more edgy look. What I love about them is that they are very versatile when
it comes to matching with your outfits. You can wear them with jeans and a top
and even with a dress. For school or the office, hobo bags are a total fashion
winner.
2. Pillow bags
If you are the type of person who travels a lot and
sometimes you use your bag as a pillow, you will love this one. Some designer handbags I’ve seen this season
were made of plush with some feather decorations in the shape of a pillow. I
found them very luxurious looking and quite comfy. I need to grab one of these
as soon as possible.
3. Punk bags
Well, a few studs here and there didn’t hurt anyone,
right? The runaways were filled this season with a variety of fashion handbags, backpacks, and purses
elegantly decorated with metallic elements for that little extra any woman needs
from time to time. No matter the shape and size of the bags, they all looked
great and gave me a serious punk vibe.
4. Stylish handbags with floral prints
No surprise here, floral prints have been in for
years, and they are here to stay a little bit longer. All you hopeless
romantics out there, I think you will be happy to know
that floral prints are one of the biggest
bag trends of summer 2018 that designers can’t get enough of.
5. Box bags
Box bags are another favourite of mine when it comes
to designer handbags. There is
something magical about them. They may seem unusual, but they can make any
outfit stand out. Shaped as a gift box with a bow or a lunch box, box bags are
ready to conquer the world of fashion.
